Play is one of the best ways to strengthen motor skills. Staford School gives ample opportunities to play with a variety of interesting materials.

Staford School believes in instilling a sense of achievement and enhancing competitive spirit in the students and also to underscore the importance of physical development. Keeping in mind this view, ‘Lets Hop, Skip, and Jump activity’ was organized on Thursday, 29th October 2015 in the school premises.

We could not have had a better day, with the sun shining brightly and the children all set to jump, hop and run.

Many types of races were organized where the children had to use different skills. Firstly we had a very cute ” Joker race” in which the Nursery kids had to dress –up like a joker followed by “ Ping Pong Push race” and“ Balancing race” by the students of K.G A & B respectively.

Nursery children participated enthusiastically in the Joker race. The little ones looked gorgeous with rosy cheeks. They had to run a bit and wear a bib, stick a nose and wear a cap and finally pick up the ball and reach the finishing line. This race exhibited little ones involvement and concentration and task completing ability.

KG A children took part in Ping Pong Push race in which they had to push the ball with the help of the hoop and ensure that the ball does not come out the hoop. This activity focused on developing child’s eye and hand coordination.

KG B children participated in Balancing cushions race where they balanced a cushion   on their head to reach the finishing line.

This activity was organized to enhance motor coordination skills like balancing, eye and hand coordination and agility. At the end of the day, the winners were overjoyed to receive toys as a token of recognition.
