Yoga is a simple process of reversing the ordinary outward flow of energy and consciousness, so that the mind becomes a dynamic centre of direct perception, no longer dependent upon the weak human senses, but capable of actually experiencing truth.

On 14th January 2017, Staford School organized Yoga session for its students and staff members. It was an introductory program offered by Isha foundation. The students and teachers performed different Yoga postures like The Directional Movement of the arms, Yoga Namaskar, Nadi Shuddhi, Nada Yoga, Shambhavi Mudra, and Namaskar process. The meditation was indeed a journey to tranquility.

The word ‘yoga’ itself means ‘union of the individual consciousness or soul with the universal consciousness or spirit’. Though many people think of yoga only as physical exercises, it is far beyond that. It is a profound science of unfolding the infinite potential of the human mind and soul. We realized the need of the same in this busy world. Our Principal, Ms.Vijaya Kumar spoke about the importance of making yoga in our routine and getting into the practice of looking within, to help us realize what we are and to keep ourselves focused.

This session was a small effort to bring about holistic approach to health and well being among the Stafordians.
