To celebrate the advent of spring season, Bansat Panchami was celebrated at Staford School on Friday, 3rd Feburary 2017. A special assembly was conducted on this occasion, wherein the students were told about the significance of the day.
It was a sheer joy for the little Stafordians when the effervescent ‘yellow’ became the colour of the day. It was a delight to see cheerful children in yellow attire, sparkling with happiness, energy and optimism. The assembly began by offering prayers to lord Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom, followed by art and craft activities such as colouring, origami and painting.
Later during the day, the students were also told about the importance of traditions and culture in our lives and also how significantly each and every Indian festival is related to the existing climate spreading the galore of nature.
The objective of organizing the yellow day was to reinforce the effect of yellow which was evident on delighted faces of tiny tots. Children enjoyed making yellow smiley’s which were given to them as take-home gifts.
