The children of Staford School observed the World population day on 11th July with a Poster making and slogan writing competition. The students put on their thinking caps and exhibited their thoughts through their art work. It was an inter-house competition where the students of each house participated enthusiastically.
As Aristotle believed, to bring any change we must train young minds. It was this concept at work. We intend to get children thinking about the problems facing the earth and our immediate environment. Children took up this challenge and did their best to express their ideas through slogans and paintings using words and colours carefully. Many of them used black to depict the polluted earth, and used blue and green to represent eco-friendly environment. They accompanied their drawings with interesting captions and slogans.
While each house earned appreciation, the entry by Sapphire house was adjudged the best.
