“Without mathematics, there’s nothing you can do. Everything around you is mathematics. Everything around you is numbers.”

An Online Maths activity on how to find the Volume and Curved Surface Area of 3D figures was conducted in secondary classes. The purpose of the activity was to enhance the understanding of difficult concepts in Maths and increase the confidence level in the children. Both these qualities are essential in contributing to their personality development during their formative years.
Maths teacher organised an interesting activity “Volume and Area of 3D Figures” for students of Class 9A.The students were asked to take any 3D object from their study room and calculate area or volume of that object.
Students took many objects like textbook, study table, Rubik’s cube, water bottle etc and evaluated volume and area confidently. They also explained all the dimensions of the object chosen by them.
The activity turned out to be highly enriching, enthralling and exciting for all the participants.
