Schools organize excursions for children with a purpose. Excursions provide an opportunity to children to learn and comprehend things in a wider perspective, consequently helping in the comprehensive and expansive development of the children.
On 17th August, 2019, Staford School organized a visit to the Regional Science City, Lucknow for the students of class VI. A spirit of excitement and exuberance prevailed throughout the journey. Regional Science City aims at creating scientific awareness and temper among the students. The park sprawling over beautifully landscaped lush green area provides an opportunity to relax in natural surroundings, away from the hustle and bustle of city- life
The students were thrilled to observe various constellations and galaxies at Taramandal, which is a planetarium set to be operational where visitors could observe the night sky. A 3-D show, highlighting the extinct pre-historic species of dinosaurs such as tyrannosaurus, brachiosaurus etc, was another major attraction. It was thoroughly enjoyed by the students.
The educational trip offered the students general awareness and exposed them to advanced concepts of science.
