Educational trips are a great platform for students to visit prestigious, historical and prominent places, while revisiting what the stalwarts of the past have left for us. Such excursions and trips not only educate students and help them visualise what they read in books, but also inculcate in them the prideful sense of belongingness to their city and country.
To make the tiny tots aware of the historical site — British Residency in the patriotic month of January, Staford Preschool, Chowk, organised a field trip to the monumental building for its students.
This trip, which aimed at increasing the interest of children in history and instill the feeling of patriotism in them, also made them aware of the rich cultural heritage, while exposing them to new experiences at the same time. Students were seen listening to the guide and their teachers attentively as they gave information about the monument.
Overall, the trip was a great experience for students and teachers alike. It also gave them a message to preserve the heritage for forthcoming generations and salute the spirit of the freedom fighters who laid their lives for us to leave in peace.
