Staford School believes in providing practical knowledge to the students so that they can be well acquainted with their surroundings. On 3rd August, 2019 the students of class XII (Commerce section) visited the head post office, Chowk Branch. The objective of organizing the trip was to give them hands on experience about the functioning of post office payment bank. This opportunity gave them a golden chance to explore the working of the banking system.
Mr. Jitendra, system analyst of the post office, explained all the terms related to banking like the Indian Post Payment Bank, Savings Bank Account, Recurring Deposit, and MIS. He also briefed them about various schemes related to the public welfare like KisanVikasPatra, etc.
The visit to the post office gave students an opportunity to gain knowledge about the functioning of the government department. It also gave them a chance to directly interact with the employees of the post office.
