The pre-primary section of Staford School celebrated the 68th anniversary of India’s Independence with full vigour in the school premises. The students presented a mélange of dances, songs and speeches which wooed the audiences. The children were dressed up in saffron, white and green to add to the spirit of nationalism prevailing in the school. Furthermore, the students of nursery were dressed in the traditional clothes representing the different states of our country. A bright and colourful array representing every state of India, underscoring the theme of “unity in diversity” was amply evident.
The prep section’s celebratory programme began with a patriotic song by KG students, followed by dance performances by class KG and nursery on a patriotic song. The Students of class 1 spoke about the contribution of our national leaders also expressed their joy and love for their motherland through their dance performance. The children performed before a full house audience comprising the primary section and impressed them with their ease and confidence.
