Staford School organized a Puppet show on 13th February 2015 to bring in some fun element during a regular working day.
The puppet show offered a change of pace in teaching, and excited and stimulated the students through motivational storytelling and received enthusiastic audience participation. Puppets are widely used as educational tools to improve creativity, team work, and focus, generate interest in obtaining knowledge, build self-esteem, and bring back joy and fun in learning. Puppets are so very endearing; the characters depicted, seem to come alive and magic fills the heart! The fact is that this medium helps in developing imagination, creativity and observation skills in the children.
The famous cartoon character Mickey Mouse was the host of the show. He stole the hearts of our tiny tots with his funny actions and speech thus becoming their puppet friend. The programme began with songs popular with children such as “Mere paas aao mere doston, lakdi ki kaathi, prem se humko jeene do, dadi amma dadi amma, maiya yashoda, etc.”
At the end of the show, the Stafordians took a promise from their host and dost Mickey Mouse to come back again in the next session.
