Staford School conducted kitchenette activity for Pre-primary on 1st of September 2017 “Tangy tickle bhelpuri”. Bhelpuri is a savory snack, and is also a type of chaat. It is made out of puffed rice, vegetables like carrot, cucumber, onion, tomato and ground nuts.
Kids of Pre-primary enjoyed making and eating yummy tangy tongue tickling bhelpuri. Children learnt the names of ingredients used and cooking terms which added to their vocabulary. They learnt the importance of eating healthy food and also the nutritive value. The aim of this activity was to develop healthy eating habits and avoid eating street food.
The kids relished the dish that they had prepared with their teachers’ help. The kids participated in the activity with interest and enthusiasm as they promised to make the same dish with their mothers at home.
