Come Friday, and the school gears up for a fun filled weekend! This Friday, the creative talents of our budding artists, got a platform through the Talent Hunt 2014 organized especially to tap the inherent abilities of the school children.
The school was abuzz with activity and excitement on Friday afternoon, 11th April, 2014 as various competitions dedicated to scouting for talent in fields like drama, music, dance and art and craft kicked off.
Elaborate arrangements were made to test and assess the talents of the young aspirants. While art and craft found the maximum entries, music, dance and drama had some really promising talents on display. The ingenuity of scripts, expression, choice of themes and effort to deliver monologues in English by children as young as eight year olds, without prompting or support, was truly commendable. Music enthusiasts impressed the judges with their renditions of patriotic and devotional songs, while the dance mania caught on and got children toe tapping in the dance competition. However, it was the craft, and painting and sketching segment that had the most creative juices flowing. Best out of waste was the theme of the craft competition and the novel ideas of converting trash into an artistic creation were amazing and inspiring.
The Talent Hunt brought out the best in the children and gave the teachers an opportunity to identify the inherent talent and inclination of the children towards their choice of self-expression. We can now look forward to some fascinating creative inputs from the participants as well as the winners of the Talent Hunt -2014, throughout the year!
Here’s wishing each of our budding artists – all the very best!
