Understanding the variety of requirements of students and parents, Staford School organized “Summer Blossoms ’17” from 15th April 2017 to 3rd June 2017.Summer blossoms was organized under the supervision of creative and able teachers for students from all schools. The children were given an opportunity to learn skills of their choice with a focus on grooming their personality.
The three week summer camp was packed with fun filled courses which helped children learn life skills without their knowing about it. From the children’s perspective they joined the camp to learn pottery, clay modeling, soft toy making, basket weaving, crafts out of waste, and much more. Some children took up the summer camp to learn skills of spoken English and personality development. Others joined to learn their favorite dance styles, be it classical, contemporary or hip hop. The star attraction was of course the attractive swimming pool of the school, which invited them to hone their swimming skills. Realizing full well the need of clarity, concentration, will power, physical and mental strength in today’s day and age, Staford school offered Taekwondo classes for free for all the participants to help them learn this martial art.
Grand Finale of the Summer Blossoms’17 was organized in the Staford School premises on 3rd June 2017.The students aged 3 to 15, presented their learning of three weeks through scintilating performances. Models and craft items made by the students during the summer camp were also on display. Dance performance on themes like “Neerja” for the older group and “Mogli” for the tiny tots was appreciated and liked by all the guests and parents. “Gingerbread man” skit performed by very young students was applauded by everyone. “Honesty is the best policy” and “Importance of communication” were the highlight of the grand finale of the summer Blossoms’17. Old song medley and Rainbow dance performances were evidence of students’ fun filled dance workshops which were liked by one and all.
Present on the occasion were Mr. S.K. Shukla, editor of a reputed news paper, Director, Staford School Mr. Ambrish Bansal, Dy. Director Mrs. Anjali Bansal, Deputy Manager, Mrs. Richa B. Joliffe and Principal Ms. Vijaya Kumar who encouraged, motivated and blessed the young wonders with their presence. The audience comprised of patrons, parents, and friends and family of the summer campers at the Summer Camp.
