World Environment Day ” is celebrated with the aim of ‘encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the protection for the environment.’ Highlighting the significance of a clean and healthy environment, Stafordschool celebrated the World Environment day on 12thMay, with great zeal.The “Eco club” students passionately organized a special assembly tospread awareness about current environmental problems, our role in creating the problems and how we alone can curb it.

 

The students of class IV and V recited a poem- “Pedhokichaya me hi to” through which they highlighted the importance of trees for us and urged everyone to take active steps to conserve trees and forests.Syed. Ali and Quasen of class VI gave a short speech on environment, in which they talked about the present scenario of our ecosystem,  the subsequent global warming, and different types of pollutions. Astreet play (NukkadNattak)  was also organized by the students of class VII, VIII AND IX  in which they demonstrated the present condition of the environment, hazardous effects of air pollutions,  scarcity of water and  the ill- effect of these problems on future generations. At the end, thestudents pledged to do their bitin keeping the environment clean and pollution free, to save water and to help more people jointhis mission everywhere.

The principal, Ms. Vijaya Kumar shared her points on conserving the environment and urged every student to practice the simple measures that keep the environment healthy and clean and contribute his or her  bit to make this world a better place to live.

 

Ms. Rizwan addressed students by giving information about different types of pollution and encouraged students to save water. Ms. Aisha Alvi acknowledged every participant for  his or her effort and dedication in making the program successful.
