Staford School,a new school, that promises to set new standards in education and student development, has opened its doors in the city of Lucknow. Staford School is located at Amethia on Hardoi Road, and features a 2.5 acres campus surrounded by quiet mango orchards. In fact, its pleasant environment, right within the bustling city, is an appropriate beginning of its different identity.
Staford is designed to provide true holistic education to its students. The classrooms are air-conditioned, bright and spacious, and equipped with digital smart-boards to provide an impactful learning experience. Separate modern laboratories are dedicated to the study of Science, Mathematics, Robotics, Computers and Language. A well stocked library offers books and other reading materials in both printed and digital form.
Staford also has facilities for a host of sports: including a 25 metres swimming pool, football and hockey fields, basketball court, and table tennis hall. A skating rink and cycling track are under development.
“Our facilities will provide that extra edge that parents seek. For example, our swimming pool and our robotics & language labs will be notable attractions for them”, states Purnima Ghoshal, Principal at Staford School. “Even our faculty will be handpicked not for their academic brilliance alone, but their proficiency in technology-driven teaching methods as well”, she adds.
Avenues for several co-curricular activities are likewise offered, for art & crafts, music, dance, yoga, and more. For tiny tots, there will be an exclusive recreational area equipped with colorful play-stations, as well.
Not forgetting transportation, Staford promises a fleet of both air-conditioned and non-A/c buses, besides smaller vehicles especially to pick and drop children from congested areas of the city.
“At Staford, we are aiming to set new standards in all aspects of education. We are seeking to go beyond just academic excellence, and focus on the complete holistic development of every child. This is because we believe that children must be ready to face the challenges of life as they grow older — with demonstrable confidence, a well groomed personality and sound communication skills”, says Ambrish Bansal, the School’s Director.
At the moment, Staford is offering admissions only to classes from Nursery to 6, but this will extend to higher classes in the next year or two. To encourage parents of prospective students, the School is even offering instant admissions, without any interviews, for the first 100 applicants only on a first-come-first-served basis. Newspaper ads of the school were prominently featured in the major dailies of Lucknow.
