Staford School Celebrates Krishna Janmashtami

You are here: Home / Hardoi Road / Staford School Celebrates Krishna Janmashtami

20 Sep 2018

Janmashtami, the birth of Lord Krishna was celebrated with great pomp and festivity by the students of classes pre-primary to class XI in the premises of Staford School, Hardoi Road. The special assembly was conducted to mark the birth of the deity.

Dressed as Radha – Krishna the students gave a traditional touch to the entire celebration. There was a handi hanging at the centre of the courtyard and the cute Radha Krishna pairs danced around to the beats of Janmashtami songs like ‘Rimjhimsawanand WohKaanhaHai’ filling the air with joy and festive spirit. The dance performances on the songs ‘MaiyaYashoda andYashomatiMaiya’depicted the beautiful relationship between a mother and her child.

Beautiful decorations were put up to make this event more cheerful and colourful. The students danced on the tunes of garba, showcasing their devotion to Lord Krishna. The scintillating dance performance represented His ‘Leelas’ and depicted the importance of the occasion.  It also made everyone aware of Indian tradition, custom and culture. A heartwarming skit performance by the students of Primary section conveyed the strong message of “Victory of good over evil.” The event concluded with the motivating words from the Principal, Mrs.RatnaKhanna. She reminded the students about Lord Krishna’s devotion and asserted that virtue always triumphs over vices. Truth always hails over myth.

The day was enjoyed by the students and all the staff members.
