Geometry is one of the classical discipline of maths. In Greek, it is roughly translated as “Earth Measurement ” and concerned with the properties of figures and space. Points, lines, and angles are the basics of geometry that collectively define the shape of an object.
Activity: A hands-on activity on ‘Special Lines’ was organized for class 4A and 4B students. Students actively participated and showed their creativity through this activity. They drew parallel lines, straight lines, vertical lines with small sticks and coloured paper. We saw a beautiful display of special lines presented by talented Stafordians.
OUTCOME: Ultimately, the active participation of students paved its way as they understood the concept of special lines after doing this activity. It made the concept of geometry clear and interesting for them.
