Exploring beyond the four walls of the classroom and getting a closer look of the vast cosmos, was done through an evening telescopic observation session.
Following workshops were conducted in the school:
Grade 1-2- MYSTERIOUS MOON- In this evening session, students learnt about the different phases of the Moon and the reason behind their occurance through a digital story. They then observed the Moon through a 200mm dobsonian mount reflector telescope.
Grade 3- Grade 11- CELESTIAL RENDEZVOUS WITH THE SKY – In this evening session, students learnt about our nearest celestial neighbour- LUNA (moon) and Planets. They learnt about figures on Moon and Phases of the Moon and about lunar features such as Mare, Impact Crater, Terrae, and Regolith. They learnt interesting facts about 5 planets of our solar system visible naked eye in the sky i.e., Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn.
Students enjoyed observing Moon through a 200mm dobsonian mount reflector telescope.
