27 Nov 2015

DSCN2423Music binds soul, hearts and emotions and is considered to be the best method of relaxation. Considering all these things, an Inter House Group Singing competition was organized in our school on 27th Nov, 2015for the students of classes IV to VIII.
The songs were chosen by our music teacher Mr. Anuj Kumar Yadav and were distributed randomly a week before the competition. The songs assigned to the different houses were –
 “Lab pe aati hai dua…….” (Amber house)
 “Ek tu hi bharosa………” (Garnet house)
 “Jaise Suraj ki garmi se……” (Emerald house)
 “Humko mann ki shakti…….” (Sapphire house)
The participants of each house practised their respective songs throughout the week, during the activity period with great vigour. The performances were planned and executed with enthusiasm and enjoyment on the final day. Each house showed their mastery over voice modulation, rhythm and other important aspects of singing. The event reached to its zenith excitement when the results were declared. All the houses were eager to emerge victorious, but it was Emerald House which bagged the first position. The competition was judged by our respected Principal ma’am, Ms. Vijaya Kumar, the Pre-primary co-ordinator, Mrs. Rizwan Fathima and Mr. Ratnakar Sharma. They were very impressed with the efforts and performances of the students.
Music was in the air throughout the day. The manner in which all the four houses put up a splendid performance and kept the audience engrossed was fascinating to watch.
