A Science Exhibition was held at Staford School on 19 March, 2015. It was organised with a view to encourage and inculcate a scientific temper among students. The students showcased their talent and work in Science through well crafted projects on exhibit. The entire primary section was abuzz with activity, as they proudly put on display their hard work.
Parents went through the exhibits on display and keenly interacted with students who exuded confidence while explaining to him the various projects and activities that were on display.
The main theme for the exhibition was ‘Renewable Sources of Energy.’ Innovative science projects like the Bio-Gas Plant, Solar Lights and electricity production using bio-cell and water were put up, displaying the creativity of the students. Students also made projects on concepts to show how bio-residue can keep the soil fertile, fruit residues can promote fertility, citrus fruits can be good electrical conductors, and how we can use different means to conserve water. Also on exhibit were concepts related to our universe, plants and their useful products, light and shadow, measurement, adaptations and organ systems.
The children from all classes including those of classes I and II also contributed through their beautiful and neatly made models on the theme ‘our neighbourhood’, ‘sources of water and their conservation’, ‘safety rules and transport system’. Students also made beautiful charts about which they confidently explained to all the guests
The Exhibition was a success. Enthusiasm overflowed among students, their teachers and parents. The true essence of this exhibition was to explain that ‘science gives us tools of immense power and as with any other form of power; the misuse is always a threat that we need to be weary of. It therefore, becomes incumbent on us to become judicious and use these wonders with utmost care.’
