9 Dec 2017

To ensure an active interaction with science and technology, an educational trip was planned for Stafordians to Regional Science Center on 9th December. The visit to Regional Science centre aimed to expose the children to new experiences that will help them increase their interest and engagement in science regardless of prior interest in topic. “The students develop more positive feelings towards the subject through such field trips. These experiences can be recalled and are also useful long after the visit” quoted their science teacher Mrs. Joshi.

The visit began with visiting the gallery “water” elixir of life where importance of water was explained to the students. Emphasis was laid to educate the kids in regard of current water crisis and depletion in water table. Different series of galleries were visited by the students and each had an ocean of knowledge to share.

“Do not accept science without questioning” said the science teacher. At Staford the students are encouraged to question and inquire. Arnav Joshi of class 5a and Rida Fatima of class 6a said that the visit to RSC is indeed helpful for them in understanding the various aspects of science in an interesting manner.

Pratham Pandey and Aparna Pandey of class 10a observed that “after visiting the science center they feel better informed. The visit was a great way to arouse curiosity in our minds.” The students enjoyed viewing practical and interesting demonstration of various scientific principles exhibits and galleries set up at RSC.
