15 Aug 2019

‘73rd Independence Day’- the result of an intensive struggle and selfless sacrifice of infinite souls and hearts of our freedom fighters, was lived once more and celebrated with the feel and zeal of patriotism and a pledge to serve the nation by Stafordians, at Staford School, Hardoi Road Branch.
The Chief Guest, Lt. Col. D. S Vajpayee and his wife along with the other dignitaries, Director, Staford School, Mr. Ambrish Bansal and Asst. Director, Staford School, Mrs. Anjali Bansal graced the occasion with their auspicious presence.
The ceremony was initiated by unfurling the tricolor by the Chief Guest Lt. Col. D.S.Vajpayee and went on swing with the soulful performances of Stafordians, imbibing the memories of Mahatma Gandhi and other apostles of peace and democracy. The Principal, Mrs.Ratna Khanna, welcomed the chief guest and addressed the children with her motivating words.
Performances like “De di hamen Azadi” and “Hardil men Tiranga rahta hi” received the acclaims of the Chief Guest and the audience.
The mesmerizing speech of the Chief Guest Lt. Col. D.S.Vajpayee not only enlightened the souls of Stafordians to the core but also reminded how our freedom fighters brought the barge of our independence out of the storm and urged the children to keep the country safe and unthreatened. For being capable to protect the culture and identity of our country, he suggested to focus on self-discipline. He reminded the children how the freedom fighters developed a sense of self-discipline which got its glimpse in the presentation of the great weapon of truth and nonviolence against the Britishers. For motivating the children, he shared his experiences during service and encouraged the students to fight for righteousness and humanity.
Children were enlightened and got benefited by his presence.
