An extensive Robotics Training of 8 hours per day was conducted especially for the teachers of Staford in the school itself from 16th to 22nd May 2013. The faculty trainer was from IIT-Mumbai and initiated the Science and Math teachers of Staford into the world of Robotics.
The rigorous but interesting training session focused on various aspects of Robotics and how the concepts of science and math can find their practical application in Robotics that has been simplified for the children. The teachers were given hands-on training on the principles of Robotics, along with an insight into the structure, functioning, and programming of robots.
The Robotics kits for the children have an array of manually operated, battery operated and programmable robots such as Wall chaser, Line follower, Fruit Picker, Battery operated cars, and Cranes. The teachers were trained to design all these Robots. In group simulation activities, Sumo fighting and Arena Robots were designed.
The teachers would now be training the students with skills of Robotics.
