With the COVID-19 pandemic looming large, Staford School went the digital way in
celebrating the 75 th Independence Day, letting the patriotic spirits soar high like never before.
Giving a virtual touch to the marking, it was ensured to set an example that no kind of
obstacle could stop the students and staff from paying tributes to their nation.
The campus celebrations were marked by the gracious presence of Director, Staford School,
Mr. Ambrish Bansal, Asst. Director, Staford School, Ma’am Anjali Bansal and Principal, Mrs.
Ratna Khanna. The ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag was done by Ma’am Anjali
Bansal. After the hoisting of the tricolour, teachers and staff paid homage to all the unsung
heroes of freedom struggle while strictly maintaining the social distancing norms.
On this occasion, many interesting and engrossing online activities were organised for the
children. Students of Nursery, KG, I and II participated enthusiastically in Fancy Dress Activity
and dedicated their performances to all the great Indian patriots. They enacted as famous
freedom fighters and presented their dialogues. It was amazing to watch these kids
manifesting their true colours of patriotism. Presenting their creative side, the students of
classes III and IV painted the mask and made many exciting patterns on the masks.
Classes V and VI participated in the ‘Dry Flower Arrangement' where they arranged dried
petals according to the patriotic theme. It was a wonderful sight to behold. Creating an
awareness about nutritious food and exhibiting their culinary skills, the students of classes
VII, VIII, IX to XII performed ‘Cooking without Fire’ and ‘Salad Making activity' respectively.
All the activities allowed the participants to express their patriotic spirits and showcase their
talent even in these unprecedented times. These trying times did not dampen the spirit of
pride and patriotism in the students as they participated in these events with great zeal and
enthusiasm.
