Field trips help the students to imbibe invaluable insights into life from the environment around them and to improve their interpersonal and social skills.
With an objective of sensitizing students about the animal kingdom and various existing species, Staford School organised a visit to Lucknow Zoo for the students of classes V to VII.
A great deal of excitement was visible in the students. From hyenas to jackal, rabbits, tortoise, alligators, deer etc, the students got a chance to closely observe each one of the animals present. Upon glancing at the White Tiger and the Lion the students were quite thrilled.
They were also engrossed in watching some fascinating birds like Emu, Great Pied Hornbill, Golden and Silver Pheasant. They also spotted rarely seen animal species like HoolockGibbon, Himalayan Black Bear and Barking Deer. The vintage train exhibited in the zoo premises caught the attention of the students. The star attraction of the trip was the 3D show, which is a recently introduced feature in the zoo. It was a delight to watch.
In true sense, this visit to the zoo helped our students to co-relate the concepts they had been learning in class with real life experiences gathered at the zoo.
