Lucknow had been simmering and smoldering under waves of heat lashing the city which was yet to receive the monsoon rains. In an effort to beat the heat, the pre-primary section decided to have “fun with showers” this Friday, 18th July 2014. The children were looking forward to this event, as much as the teachers and parents, who knew this would bring respite from the summer heat. As though in sync with the mood of the children, Nature too decided to magnanimously drench the children in a pleasant shower of rain this Friday morning.
It was such fun to see children attired in brightly coloured raincoats, donning fancy umbrellas, splashing about in the rain. The spontaneous spurts of gleeful laughter as they hopped in and out of rain puddles with friends, played around and recited rhymes, was contagious. There was a splash pool party. too, for the children who didn’t mind soaking in the water and taking a dip in the pool. The water babies had oodles of fun prancing about like little rock stars dancing and singing merrily with their friends and teachers, not wanting to come out of the water.
At Staford, we want our children to learn to acknowledge, appreciate, and understand the importance of every little nuance of Nature. We are sure the children will grow up with a stronger relationship with their immediate environment and bloom into receptive and positive human beings. Till then we want them to enjoy everything!
