With the arrival of the rainy season, a monsoon cum rainbow day was celebrated at Staford School on 5th July 2019 in order to liven up this monsoon season by getting them involved in rainy day activities. The purpose of this event, held especially for the pre-primary section, was to introduce the tiny-tots to the monsoon season and all the best practices that go along with it.
Our world is filled with colours. A very important part of learning during primary years is identification and recognition of colours. The classrooms too were decorated to welcome our children. Our tiny tots looked beautiful in their fancy attires. The day began with a short prayer and continued with various activities like singing rhymes and jingles on colours, identification game etc.
The little artists painted huge mushrooms and flowers using sponge as group activity. They learned new vocabulary, decorated umbrellas, made vibgyor paper boats and had all kind of fun art craft activities to help them associate better with the rains and the accessories used in this season.
