Staford School believes in learning by doing. Keeping with the Theme of ‘My Body’ the five senses were introduced to the children through demonstration on 8th April with a variety of hands on activities.
The aim of the lesson on five senses was to enable students identify and understand the functions of the five sense organs.
The teachers had planned multiple activities that captured the essence of each sense and excited the curiosity of young ones.
The highlight of the day was when young Stafordians popped a bag of popcorn and enjoyed the “multisensory” snack, a snack that allowed them to use all five senses. This activity was an appetizing way to teach what the five senses were all about.
The kids enjoyed the “snack activity” and got acquainted to so many amazing facts.
When more than one method of learning is accessed as in hands-on learning, the information has a better chance of being stored in the memory…
