17th August was the day for the Pre-Primary teachers to interact with the parents and give them an update of the progress the children have made. The meeting was well attended and the parents made the event a successful one, by participating in the event actively.
The teachers had a one-to-one interaction and apprised the parents with the progress of their child. Teachers discussed the academic milestones attained by the children and shared the progress folders with the parents. The parents too shared their experience, and suggestions and expressed their satisfaction in various ways.
Parents also took this opportunity to glance through the photo-albums of the class activities on display on the Plasma TV in the lobby, which gave them a good idea of all the events, curricular and co-curricular activities that take place in the classes from time to time. Later, they also enjoyed refreshments while exchanging notes with other parents.
The Parents- teacher meeting is an excellent way to communicate with the teachers and ensure that both, the parents as well as the teachers know each others’ goals, and expectations and work in tandem. Understanding the child’s individual capabilities and setting appropriate goals for the child to fulfil in the preparatory classes is the best way to achieve the true potential of the child. This is exactly what the school intends to achieve and establish through such meets.
