Hand washing is a small action that can have big benefits for the children. The proper technique combined with a little soap and clean water prevents the spread of disease, keeping kids healthy.
In the process of actualising the goals of “Swacchta Pakhwada”, Staford School celebrated the Hand Wash Day to communicate the importance of good hand hygiene.
Students were explained about communicable diseases which are generally spread through physical contact. They were stunned to hear that 80 percent of diseases are transmitted by touch. After a brief introduction, the Sports teacher demonstrated step by step procedure to wash hands with soap and water. The students carefully followed the steps of washing hands and understood that living a hygienic life is the need of the hour.
The day was dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding about the importance of handwashing with soap as an effective and affordable way to prevent diseases.
