Field trips play an important role in education. They link the classroom learning with the outside world and in doing so they drastically improve the process of learning, and also give both the learner and educator a valued practical experience. Children of the Pre primary section of Staford School were taken to the Supermarket to make them aware of the different sections at the grocery store like the fruits and vegetable section, dairy and bakery section and canned goods section, toys, books and stationary section etc.
Our little champs saw a wide variety of food and goods. They learnt about the healthy food habits that they need to cultivate on a daily basis. Every child was given an opportunity to buy a vit and bit. This exposed them to how things were bought, billed and paid for.
This visit to the supermarket was a great learning experience for each child. They exhibited a high level of enthusiasm and keenness. They returned feeling very proud of themselves having learnt to shop.
