25 Oct 2017

Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet developed by Microsoft to organize data manipulations like arithmetic operations. It has a battery of supplied functions to answer statistical, engineering and financial needs. It features calculation, graphing tools, pivot tables, and a macro programming language called Visual Basic for Applications. It has been a very widely applied spreadsheet. It is also very necessary to format the created worksheets so that they are clear, concise and represent the summary of the data present in the sheet.

In order to make the students realize the importance of formatting an Excel worksheet, an interesting activity was organized on 25th Oct,2017 at StafordSchool for the students of class VI. The students created time tables, cricket score cards and report cards in Excel and formatted them in order to make them easy to comprehend. The results of the competition were as follows:

Winners from Class VI A – Zainab Fatima held the first position, Rida Fatima bagged the second place, and Sohaib Ashraf held the third position.

Winners of Class VI B –    Rayan Khan secured the first place,Ved Gupta stood second and the third place went to Sameer Verma.
