The pre-primary section of Staford School conducted a special assembly on 16th August 2017, to celebrate the 71st year of Independence, Raksha Bandhan and Janmashtmi with zeal and spirit befitting the occasions. The occasion was graced by our Hon Principal Ms Vijaya Kumar and Manager Mrs Richa Joliff.
The programme began with a marvelous dance performance by the tiny tots of class nursery on the song “Phoolo ka taaron ka” to celebrate the love bond between brother and sister. The celebration was further extended as the students of class KG celebrated the birth of Lord Krishna by portraying episodes from Krishna’s life.Children came dressed in, as Krishna and Radha and other colorful outfits.
The students of classes 1, 2 and 3 gave wonderful performances on Maa tuhje Salam, Rang de Basanti, Mein Bharat bol raha hu and Hum Honge Kamyab. The participants spell bound the audience with their performance and also energized them with patriotic enthusiasm. The students of class 1 conveyed the important message of patriotism and national spirit through their short speeches.
It was a proud moment to watch the students dance and spread the essence of tricolor wrapped in emotions and pride for our motherland and its protectors, the soldiers.
The occasion ended by our Principal who delivered a short speech. She told the students about the supreme sacrifice the great martyrs gave for the sake of freedom. She also said “That the freedom was very precious and it is very necessary to preserve it”.
