Dussehra celebration was organized at Staford School, on 13 October 2021 with lots of ardor and fervor.
Dussehra is primarily the celebration of victory of Lord Rama over demon Ravana and Goddess Durga over the devil Mahishasur symbolizing the triumph of good over evil.Children of Class III and IV represented a short act on Ravana thereby reinforcing the message that arrogance leads to one’s downfall. They also showcased 9 avatars of Goddess Durga providing invaluable learning for women of all ages that resides within them, the ability to be protector and care giver. Shlokas were recited and hymns were sung by the little artists of classes II and IV to glorify female power. Students of class IV briefed about the significance of celebrating this festival, emphasizing on the virtues attained by each individual while going through the spiritual aspect of the celebration.
Principal, Staford School, Mrs. Ratna Khanna, lauded the efforts put in by the students and the teachers. She also gave an inspiring speech, motivating each student to tread on the righteous path.
Burning the effigy of Ravana, the embodiment of vices and arrogance, symbolized the destroying of innate evil tendencies that surf in human nature.
The day turned out to be marvelous and cheerful, inspiring each student to follow the path of truth and righteousness.
