We make every effort to give our students a conducive environment for learning. At Staford School, the emphasis is on learning by doing and involving the students actively in all the activities conducted in the school. We engage them in learning and help them to develop healthy habits. We also know that fun activities go a long way in enhancing learning.
Keeping this in mind, a puppet show was organized on Friday, 11th September 2015 in the school campus with the aim of offering a change of pace in teaching, by exciting and stimulating the students through motivational storytelling , inviting their participation and using puppetry as an educational tool to improve qualities and skills like creativity, imagination, team work, focus, interest in obtaining knowledge, building of self-esteem and bringing back joy and fun in learning.
The students had a wonderful experience watching the puppets tell stories woven around moral values, health and hygiene and they could easily relate to the puppets and learnt great habits. The theme of the puppet show stories were focused on how eating healthy food can make us strong and that goaded children to make healthy food choices. Stories based on moral values like respecting our elders, obeying the teachers and parents, always behaving well in front of others and keeping our environment clean were enacted by the puppets.
It was a pleasure to see students engaged with the puppets and learn lessons from them. Overall it was a fun filled, entertaining and captivating experience for the young students.
