Stafordians have been using audio-visual aids in order to understand the scientific concepts. Use of Audio-visual aids stirs the imagination, thinking process and reasoning power of the students. They prove effective reinforcing agents by increasing the probability of the re-occurrence of the responses associated with them and thus render valuable help in the process of teaching and learning. The students of class 6 understood basic characteristics of light and also its behaviour as it is passed through opaque, transparent, and translucent objects. The students demonstrated various items such as glass, rocks, and organisms, wax paper etc. and explained the process of travelling of light through these objects. They also got acquainted with the formation of shadows when light is passed through translucent and opaque objects.
Overall, the students became aware of the properties of light and also used their reasoning power to differentiate between various kinds of materials or objects.
