Heritage Walk is an opportunity to experience cultural and historical legacy of a city. It creates a sense of pride among the students when they visit and experience the history itself. Taking the initiative of providing the knowledge about the rich heritage of Lucknow City forward, Staford School organized an educational trip to Sanatkada Lucknow Festival, a festival of dance, drama, cinema, history, literature, music and cuisine on 3rd February, 2018.
The trip began with a heritage walk starting from General Kothi and ending at Safed Baradari, Qaiserbagh. The students got the chance to observe and learn about the details regarding the beautiful architecture of the city. As they entered Baradari, they witnessed a wide range of weaves and hand crafted products from around the country. The exhibition also gave a glimpse of some of the rarest eighteenth century paintings and French style paintings brought from all over the world to Lucknow.
The students felt proud of their rich and cultural heritage as they walked through the exhibition. They also got an opportunity to explore various kinds of societies.
The idea of taking the students on the heritage walk was to provide a kaleidoscope of culture to them, thereby giving them a platform to connect with history, art and architecture related to their wonderful city, Lucknow.
