Children’s day is one day in the school calendar that children across India, look forward to with excitement. At Staford, the teachers made this day fun-filled and memorable for the children by presenting an interesting mélange of performances ranging from songs, to dances, to skits. Our multi-talented teachers presented a range of dances from Kathak to contemporary, and from freestyle to hip-hop. There were group and solo song renditions as well, and here too the teachers presented a variety- starting with a hymn, and moving on to bollywood and even a rap song- all of which were laced with inspirational and motivational lyrics. A stupendous performance was put up by the teachers through a humorous skit emphasizing the value of time. This performance had the children in splits and literally rolling with laughter. The new avatar of the teachers in roles children had never seen had the children clapping wildly with wide-eyed admiration for their teachers.
The children had their share of fun when they were allowed to break into a spontaneous party mode dancing. Their day was further enlivened with a horde of races and sports organized for them. Be it the hurdle race, the multiple challenge race, three legged race or the lemon and spoon race, each child and each class got their share of fruitful enjoyment
All the teachers at Staford put up a great show and ensured that the children not only had fun but also had a lot to learn through observation. After all children learn by example and who else can motivate them better than their own teachers! Staford strives to make each day special and this day they went all out to make it a truly happy children’s day.
