A grand Christmas celebration took place at Staford commencing the celebration for the birth of Lord Jesus. A special assembly was organized by the students of Staford School on this occasion.
The program started with the students stating the reasons and ways of Christmas celebration by people all around the world. Many carols, poems and songs, describing the holy birth and angelic activities that took place during the birth of Christ were sung and recited by the students of classes VIII, VII, V and IV. Spectacular performances were presented by the students of classes VII and VI-B as they executed skits on the topics “Luck or Misfortune” and “God is everywhere”. The program was made more joyful, when the students of classes VI-A and V-A,staged the adorable dance performances on the classic English songs “Jingle bells” and “We wish you a merry Christmas”. The program came to the conclusion with a Nativity play, in which each and every event during the birth of Jesus Christ was well presented by the students of Class VII.
At the end, the principal, Ms Vijaya Kumar conveyed her gratitude to each and every one and encouraged all the students to keep the true spirit of Christmas alive, which is to love, respect, give, and share, bring joy, happiness and peace in everyone’s life.
