Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it!
We at Staford School believe that no duty is more urgent than that of expressing thanks. Hence, the pre primary and primary Section celebrated Gratitude Day on Thursday, 22nd December 2016, in order to teach the students the essentials of social behavior, benefits of interdependence and the role of both direct and indirect helpers who we need most necessarily to complete our daily chores.
The program was held in the school atrium. The teachers and students made the day special for Staford School’s support staff through a cultural programme loaded with fun and games organized especially for them. The event began with a warm welcome for all the helpers like the bus drivers, nannies, cleaners and security guards of the school and was followed by various performances by the students.
To make the event enjoyable, many games were conducted and special gifts were given to the winners. This was followed by tasty snacks served by the children.
On behalf of pre primary few pupils expressed their gratitude to their driver bhaiyyas, nannies and ayah jis with their speeches. The Principal Ms. Vijaya Kumar, Preprimary coordinator S. Rizwan Fathima, Transport Manager Mr. Singh and Ms. Prachi were also a part of the celebration and made these helpers feel honoured and special with their words of gratitude for the valuable services and contribution towards maintenance and smooth functioning of the school.
