On Saturday, 18th November 2017, the Stafordians were thrilled to visit the Zoological Garden. Bringing children close to the animal’s world and to incorporate hands on learning was the venture of this fieldtrip.
After settling the belongings, students lined up for a joy ride in the toy train. Laughter and excitement filled the air as they boarded the train at Chandrapuri station and travelled to almost every section of the zoo happily reciting “chook chook gaadi” rhyme. As they travelled in the train they witnessed plants, bushes, grassy grounds, variety of animals and birds. Children were amused to see various kinds of monkeys, gorillas and baboons and were also delighted to see their favorite animals, which include tigers, lions, leopard and cheetah. There were also elephants, giraffe and crocodiles in different cages.
A beautiful white building, the Baradari amidst green lawn was another attraction for children where they had there tiffin. Children happily played under the supervision of their teachers in the park which had variety of swings and slides and then they visited an auditorium to watch a documentary on zoo.
The field trip was indeed an informative, educative and exciting outing for the children. On their way back to home they enjoyed talking about their experience and were glad to share their experiences and things they did on their fieldtrip.
