Staford School always focuses on learning by doing. Activities play an important role in the overall development of children. Each child learns at his/her own pace. The objectives of EVS activities are to develop skills such as creative expression, observation, classification, and subject knowledge.
We as teachers design the activities and cite examples that are relevant for children in terms of real life experiences.
Activity on the relevance of water was conducted for the students of class 1. Children participated in the activity enthusiastically. The activity commenced with brainstorming questions put up to the students focusing on the practical knowledge regarding the topic. The students then briefed everyone about the role of water in our lives through the show and tell. They highlighted the pressing need for conserving water. The activity concluded with Hands-on the measurement of water by dropper, mug, and glasses. The activity encouraged all the students to reuse and store water and to reduce water wastage.
