The word Diwali means row of lighted lamps and Diwali signifies the renewal of life. Diwali is one of the most important and colourful festivals among all festivals celebrated in India. It symbolizes victory of righteousness and victory of light over darkness.
On Monday, 9th of November, 2015, the Management, staff and students at Staford School came together to celebrate Diwali in all its traditional fervor with jubilation and enthusiasm.
The school premise was decorated with diyas and rangolis, which were indicative of the onset of Diwali celebrations.
The celebrations began with Mangal Aarti for invoking Lord Ganesha & Lakshmi which was presented by the students of class 1V.
.The tinkling steps of tiny tots and songs made the celebrations very entertaining. Children were dressed in colourful traditional attire.
A play portraying Lord Rama, depicting him as an obedient pupil and son, his love for people and at last his victory over evil and return to Ayodhya was enacted by the students of Primary section.
The Principal of the school wished a happy and prosperous Diwali to all and gave message of celebrating eco-friendly Diwali.
