Materials can be classified on the basis of transparency, translucency, and opaqueness as transparent translucent and opaque materials. They can also be classified on the basis of their tendency to produce light as a luminous and non-luminous object
A hands-on activity related to the classification of materials for grade III students was conducted. The activity aimed at helping students to classify materials on the basis of transparency, translucency, opaqueness, and tendency to produce light.
Students actively participated in the activity. They prepared videos showing different types of materials and presented them in class.
Outcome: The activity also made the students aware of different types of materials. The basic idea behind the experiments conducted by the students was to enable them to get a deep understanding of the concept. This activity turned out to be a great learning experience for young Stafordians.
