Little STAFORDIANS celebrated Diwali on 5th November 2018, with enthusiasm and excitement. The school was decorated with beautiful diyas and lamps, signifying the splendour of ‘The Festival of Lights’.
The students came excited to school, dressed in traditional attires, ready to enjoy the program planned for the day. They engaged themselves in various activities like –diya decoration, poster making, paper lamp making, rangoli making etc, adding to their mirth and merriment.
Later, the teachers also explained to the children about the significance of Diwali, the ill-effects of excessive bursting of crackers, thereby adding more meaning and reverence to the celebration.
The students lit lamps with the help of their teachers, followed by the Diwali party, in which the students feasted on chocolates given to them by the school.
