An online Quiz on the theme ‘Knowledge, Traditions, Practices, and Heritage of India’ was conducted for classes VI and VIII, where in the Social Studies teachers posed a volley of questions to the young quizzers regarding unique practices and rich cultural heritage of India. The questions put forth to the students were intriguing and exciting. The quiz was a great success and the children enjoyed it a lot.
The students of grade 7 celebrated the National Unity Day by presenting their views on the theme “ Knowledge of India”. First, they gave an introduction about themselves and then read their articles written on the given theme, thereby acknowledging the rich cultural heritage of our country.
Children also took part in Essay writing competition, where they wrote a brief life sketch of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, emphasising on his leadership qualities, his determination, and his strong will- power. A song relevant to the theme of National Unity was also taught to the students during their Music class. Students exhibited zeal and vigour while participating in all the activities.
The basic idea behind all these activities was to enable students to appreciate the value of synergic effort rather than individual effort so that students go back to society as ambassadors of unity, peace and safety.
On the whole, the occasion served to reinforce our commitment to strengthening the security, unity and integrity of our country. It also provided a reason to all of us to feel proud of our rich cultural heritage and recognize the contribution of our great national leaders in the progress of our country.
