Colouring activity
Children of Staford Prechool Chowk, showed the magic of their little fingers as they coloured the peacock line sketches given to them during the ‘Colour the National bird’ activity, to the best of their skills. The activity was held on December 29, 2017 for classes – Junior Play Group, Senior Play Group, Nursery and Kindergarten, by the school authorities in association with Reliance Nippon Life Assurance Company. The entire school premises seemed to look like a palette of colours as each classroom had kids engrossed at using crayons, oil pastels, colour pencils and glitter crayons. Some children even drew intricate patterns using different shapes on the feathers of peacocks.
Towards the end of the activity, students were presented with certificates of participation. The best three entries of each class were given gifts along with certificates.
The aim of this activity was well achieved as kids not only enjoyed to the fullest, but also learnt to recognise colours, use colour combinations and contrasts, recognise and draw shapes; and differentiate between beak, crown, feathers, body and eye of the national bird.
