Clay modelling is one of the ways to develop fine motor skills in children. It not only caters to the need of pre writing skills but also strengthens wrist and finger muscles preparing them for the formal writing.
A clay modelling competition was held at Staford School, on Friday, 22nd July 2016 for the tiny tots. This competition was the perfect platform for the creative minds of the children to meet their colourful desires and fantasy needs. The children prepared different and creative models such as snake, sun, flower, tortoise etc, thereby showcasing their inherent talent.
The activity aimed at developing and enhancing creative skills, aesthetic skills, social skills and cognitive skills in the students.
