Class presentation is one of the effective ways of bringing out what the children imbibe during their class room teaching. At Staford, we believe that a practical approach towards the process of teaching and learning is very important for children. Continuing this effort, a class presentation was held for Class VIII A on 8th October, 2016.
The presentation was based on various topics from different subjects and focused mainly on the effective communication skills of the students. Right from compering to conducting the presentation, all responsibilities were executed by the children themselves. It gave them a bout of self confidence and a platform to showcase their abilities and learning in front of their parents.
The presentation began with seeking the blessings from Almighty Lord. A skit titled ‘No Problem’ was presented in the English section focusing on the careless attitude of a politician towards the public and society. Hindi section witnessed a jolly round of use of idioms, placed and woven into a long conversation.
Moving further, a talk show on various types of plastic, use of plastic and its disposal was conducted in Science. The students formed the Go Green team highlighting the ways to reduce the environmental pollution. Social Studies segment focused on the procedure of Criminal Arrest and Role of Police where a skit was presented highlighting some basic rules and guidelines, a citizen should be aware of, in case of police arrests. The skit made the students aware of their basic rights and the role of police personnel in case of any police proceedings.
Mathematics section focused on some really good mathematical tricks and arriving at magic numbers having unique patterns within a second or two followed by an interactive round with the parents. The final segment was based on Technology and Knowledge, where the students displayed a project designed on Hospital Management on Visual Basic followed by designing on HTML. The skill and confidence displayed by the students while presenting their projects gave a hint that they are ready to face the technological advancements in the software industry.
It was overall, an interactive, interesting and educative session which was thoroughly enjoyed by the parents.
