At Staford, we believe that only bookish knowledge is not sufficient for the overall understanding of different concepts. Students should be presented with situations where they need to apply the concepts learnt to achieve the solution of a problem. To serve this purpose and to put on display the knowledge gained in the academic year, students of class VII showcased a class presentation on 4th Oct, 2016.
The presentation began with a prayer to seek the blessing of the Almighty. In English subject, the students highlighted the importance of giving equal opportunities to the girls through a skit on women empowerment.
It was followed by a debate in Hindi on the topic ‘Should the birds be kept in captivity or left free?’
Next, it was the turn of Mathematics. The students recited a poem on algebra and explained the difference between like and unlike terms.
In the following act which was associated with Science, students of class VII performed an experiment to produce chemicals of different colours.
In Social Studies act, the students conducted a quiz on monuments in Lucknow and tested the knowledge of parents about Lucknow’s heritage.
Next was an act to show the process of software creation. In this skit, the students created software for a game show and then also presented its first episode.
The presentation ended with a short speech by our respected Principal ma’am thanking the parents for their encouraging presence. It was followed by a brief interactive and feedback session with the parents. Overall, it was a great effort by the students of class VII to display the knowledge gained by them both inside and outside of a classroom.
